Vrij winterhard, Graptopetalum paraguayense (Ghost Plant) is een klein groenblijvend vetplantje dat 4 inch brede rozetten (10 cm) vlezige, puntige, platte, grijsachtig witte, opalen bladeren vormt. Het gebladerte warmt op tot warmroze kleur in hete, droge omstandigheden en wordt blauwgrijs in halfschaduw. De kleine rozetten groeien aan de uiteinden van steeds langer wordende stengels, die na verloop van tijd in elkaar overgaan en prachtig in cascade zijn. In het voorjaar produceert het sierlijke sprays van stervormige gele bloemen. Krachtig, Ghost Plant compenseert gemakkelijk en zal uiteindelijk een laagspreidende kolonie creëren. Een zeer aantrekkelijke plant voor bodembedekkers, in hangende manden, containers of voor het morsen van muren.
